The Ministry continues to serve the needs of children/women/men of various nationalities including from various African nations, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, etc. Walk-in cases are attended to for various assistance including faith/spiritual formation, counselling, returning home, burial, medical assistance, legal referrals, claims, socio-cultural activities, support of pastoral workers, etc., in addition to active collaboration/networking with other faith-based and non-government organizations. Regular pastoral visits to Parish Migrant Ministry are continued in order to touch-base and attend to needs and exploring together responses as service provider.
We build basic communities of mutual support among them and with the local church community to share their lives, struggles, joys and hopes. AOHD also conducts awareness programmes to educate the Catholic faithful on welcoming and integrating migrants into their parishes and collaborates actively with other faith-based and non-governmental organizations.
